Sandridgebury House, Sandridgebury Court and the Old School

Sandridgebury House, together with Sandridgebury Court and The Old School, is a small country house dating to the late 17th century, with significant alterations in the early 19th century. A western extension was added in the mid-to-late 19th century and recased in the mid-20th century. The building is constructed of red brick and has a hipped roof covered in plain tiles, featuring a large, modillioned cornice detail. The front elevation has eight windows, with shallow two-window projections on each end. The windows are recessed sashes. A late 17th-century porch is located towards the right-hand side, set within a 20th-century brick porch. The porch features a door with a bolection-moulded frame, heavy leaf-carved consoles supporting a deep hood, with cornices continuing around the porch. Strapwork panelling is found above the door and on the hood's soffit, and a semicircular hood features a carved head and eagles. An early 19th-century door is located on the left end, supported by long brackets. The left-hand extension has five sash windows in a Neo-Georgian style and a lower hipped roof. The building is double pile. The rear of the main house has eight windows. A slightly recessed bay on the left contains a modified late 17th-century door surround with a bolection-moulded frame, leaf-carved consoles, and a pulvinated frieze. The two right-hand windows are also slightly recessed but set further apart. The interior of Sandridgebury Court includes two late 17th-century fireplaces. A first-floor front room contains a mid-18th-century Palladian-style doorcase and cornices.
