Description
The outbuilding, formerly stables, located to the north-east of Little Marchmont, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of stucco and features a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, along with a pedimented central projection on the south side elevation. The building is two storeys high and has an eaves cornice and frieze. There are three archways, two of which serve as doors, with a central panel. The first floor includes raised panels and easement windows, and there is a segmental panel in the tympanum. This outbuilding, along with No 57 (Marchmont House) and the gate piers, forms a group.
