Description

Brooms is a 18th-century range of timber-framed and plastered cottages, with some sections featuring weather-boarding, which have been converted into one tenement. The building is one storey high with attics. It has small casement windows with lattice leaded lights and a thatched roof, which includes three dormers and two central chimney stacks. The north-west end of the building is half hipped and weather-boarded. On the front, there is a painted panel that reads: "Notice by order of the Magistrates. All Persons found begging in this Parish will be taken up by the Vagrant Act and Punished as the Law Directs."
