Description

Clavering Place is a timber-framed house originating from the 15th century, featuring a Hall and a west solar. The property has the remains of a moat and has undergone significant alterations and additions in the 18th century and later. In the early 19th century, around 1830, the house was completely refaced in white brick. The front of the building has gabled wings at both the east and west ends, with the center block displaying two small gables. The windows are primarily double-hung sashes. The roof is tiled, and the interior retains some remnants of the Hall roof construction, along with exposed timber-framing, ceiling beams, and joists.
