Description
St Osyth's Priory Cartlodge, dating from the late 18th century, is a single-storey timber-framed structure weather boarded and topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building features six bays and has openings on both the north and south sides.
Inside, the timber frame includes pegged straight bracing, tie beams with hanging knee braces, wall posts, wall plates, and studs, although the studs have been removed on the east side. The roof structure consists of principal rafters, staggered side purlins, roof collars, and a ridgepiece.
