Description
The Vicarage, built between 1810 and 1850 by the vicar, Thomas Bourdillon, is a two-storey building with attics and cellars. It is constructed of gault brick with a hipped slate roof, end stacks, and a rear stack. The eaves are boarded with modillions, and two flat-roofed dormer windows are present. The first floor has five recessed hung sash windows with glazing bars, set within cambered gauged brick arches. Below, four similar, larger ground floor windows are visible. Stone steps lead to a flat-roofed portico featuring reeded columns and pilasters, a plain entablature, and a projecting cornice. The doorcase has reeded reveals and a reeded band at the impost height, between the door and a round headed fanlight. The entrance is via a panelled door.
