Description
The Rectory is an 18th-century house featuring a reset datestone that reads "1591". It is constructed of coursed stone rubble and has a Collyweston stone roof with gabled ends. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. On the first floor, there are 19th-century three-light sash windows in the center and a modern casement window. The entrance has a central pilastered doorway with a rectangular fanlight and pediment, leading to a six-panel door. There are three hipped dormers with casements and an internal chimney stack at each end. A modern brick wing has been added to the rear. Inside, there is a plain open-well staircase with a square stack, balusters, and a moulded handrail, along with fielded panel doors and blind cases. The datestone may have originated from a former rectory that was destroyed by fire.
