Description
- 5141 ETTON WOODCROFT ROAD Railway Footbridge at Woodcroft Crossing TF 10 NW 3/219 II 2. Circa 1860 footbridge. GNR built as result of the Further Powers Act of 1858/59 which authorised the quadrupling of the line from Werrington Junction to Helpston. Cast iron structure with castings by Dallam Forge of Warrington. Z-shaped on plan. Clusters of 4 octagonal cast iron columns with shaped and pierced brackets supporting footbridge which has iron lattice balustrade with square newels with ball finials. Situated on the Syston to Peterborough line of London and North Eastern Railway and LMSR.
