Description

Alameda Gate is an early 19th-century structure featuring classical vases made of Coade stone. These vases are positioned on a pair of new piers at the entrance to the Alameda avenue, replacing the original wrought-iron gates that were donated by the Duke of Bedford to a school in Bedford.
