Description
Manor Farmhouse dates back to the 13th or 14th century. The ground floor is made of clunch and features pointed Gothic arches, while the first floor, which was once used as a chapel, is timber framed. Inside, there is a fine crown post roof supported by carved wooden corbels. The building was altered and extended in the 17th century and further modified in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of red brick and has two storeys with an old clay tile roof. The windows have modern leaded lights with mullions and transoms. The central projecting gable and a slightly projecting gable to the right are cement rendered and have half-hipped roofs. There is a red brick stack with three diamond plan shafts and moulded caps, while two other stacks of this type have been rebuilt.
