Description

21 Lake Street is a building from the 18th century, located on the northeast side in Leighton Buzzard. The front features local bond brickwork with grey headers and red dressings, topped by a Welsh slated roof that sits behind a parapet with a moulded cornice. The building has three storeys and three sash windows with glazing bars set in rendered reveals beneath flat arches. The shop front was altered in the 19th century, while the 18th-century doorway includes a six-fielded panelled door, a traceried oblong fanlight, and a surround of Doric pilasters beneath an entablature. Numbers 17 to 21 form a group.
