Description

This late 18th or early 19th century house is located on the north side of High Street, Harrold, and extends to Orchard Lane. The main part of the house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a Welsh slate roof featuring stone gable coping. The south elevation has three sash windows on the first floor, each with marginal glazing bars and some stained glass. The ground floor features two three-light casement windows with glazing bars. An early 20th century trellis porch is set into the east gable end, serving as the entrance. A recessed red brick wing, set at right angles to the main house, is located to the right. This wing also has a Welsh slate roof and a south gable end with two first-floor casement windows with arched heads. The ground floor of the wing includes two brick arches containing double trellis doors.
