Description

The Virgins and Castle Public House dates to the early 19th century, with earlier elements incorporated. It is constructed of roughcast and has two storeys. The front features four early 19th century three-light casement windows with plain key blocks and lintels. A modern doorcase has been added. A plain gable is visible on the right-hand side. The building is topped with coping and old tiles. It has group value due to its contribution to the character of the High Street.
