Description

Elm Cottage is a house dated 1672, which has been restored and re-windowed. The exterior is roughcast with a plain tile roof. A brick stack rises from the rear eaves, bearing the date 1672 on its base. The house is two storeys high, with three windows, now fitted with modern metal casements. A central 6-panel door is sheltered by a later gabled hood. It is included on the list for its Group Value, alongside the Church of St Mary, the Churchyard Cross and walls, and all the other buildings in Centre Place.
