Description

The almshouses in Bromyard were founded by Phineas Jackson, Vicar, in 1656. They consist of seven dwellings arranged to form three sides of a nearly closed square, with outbuildings on the south side. The buildings are two storeys high, featuring rubble walls and a tiled roof. The entrance on the north side has a four-centred head and chamfered jambs. Inside the passageway, there is timber framing. The north side has three sets of twin casement windows, while the east side has two sets, all small with pointed heads. The interior includes ceiling beams and a king post.
