Description

Upper House is a 17th-century timber-framed building that features two crucks which may be medieval in origin. The structure includes painted brick nogging and plaster panels, with gables and a tiled roof. It has two storeys and is fitted with casement windows. A massive stone stack adds to its picturesque appearance. For further details, see RCHM volume II, page 63, plate 29.
