Description
The Red House is a late 18th-century house located on the north side of Ludford Main Street in Ludford Parva. It features red brick construction in English garden wall bond of three, with hipped and brick-coped tumbled gables, as well as single gable and ridge stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and stands two storeys high with a garret. The front has five bays, with a central six-panelled door that includes a traceried overlight, panelled reveals, and fluted pilasters that support a dentillated cornice. This door is flanked by pairs of plain sash windows. On the first floor, there are five plain windows, consisting of three sashes and two top-hung 20th-century casements. The ground floor windows are distinguished by flat brick arches.
