Description
14 and 16 Northumberland Street are mid-19th century buildings constructed from hammer-dressed stone, featuring a hipped slate roof. The structure rises three storeys above a basement and is adorned with a bracketed eaves cornice and continuous sills. The corners of the buildings are accentuated with rusticated quoins. There are eight ranges of sash windows, which have moulded surrounds on the upper floors and segment-headed designs on the first floor. The ground floor showcases round-arched windows with vermiculated voussoirs and keystones, along with panelled aprons. A continuous moulded impost band runs along the façade. The entrance includes two doors with moulded panels and semi-circular fanlights.
