Number 5 Birkby Fold is a building dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features pitched stone slate roofs. The building has two storeys. On the first floor, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with glazing bars, while the ground floor has a two-light stone mullioned window, also with glazing bars. The entrance is marked by a planked door.
