Description
Brigg Congregational Church, dated 1815, is an ornate Gothic building located on Wrawby Street. The church features a rendered exterior with a parapet and cornice, and a central gable adorned with a foliated finial, a roundel, and the date. The ground floor has a triple arcade, two of which contain windows with round arches set in moulded surrounds, decorated with ornamental swags and foliated carving. There are impost bands and panels on the pilasters. The windows consist of two lights with arched heads, a central iron spandrel with a foliated head, and a round arched top light. The entrance has a modern double door with six panels and projects in front of the plain gable of the main block. The church is part of a group that includes Nos 14 to 23 and the White Horse Public House, with Nos 23 and the public house being of local interest.
