Description
This urn, located approximately 40 metres north of The Old Rectory, dates from the early to mid-19th century and is made of ashlar. It features a base and moulded pedestal, with an urn that has a narrow waisted base, a ribbed body, and an everted rim adorned with leaf and dart moulding. The urn contains plants and stands about 1.6 metres high. It was moved to its current position in the centre of the lawn north of The Old Rectory from Holyrood House in Hedon by Colonel R A Alec-Smith in 1957, along with a nearby pair of smaller urns that flank the path to the west. This urn is included for its group value.
