Description

36 Butcher Row is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with tumbled brickwork on the gable end. The first floor has three near-flush-frame windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, and are adorned with painted voussoirs. The entrance is framed by a wood doorcase that includes a moulded architrave, a frieze with a central tablet, and a pediment. The door itself consists of six fielded panels and has a blank fanlight above it. Additionally, there is a small early 19th-century shop front that features slender moulded pilasters with foliate capitals and a moulded entablature.
