Description
No. 57 is a house located on Main Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red stretcher and light brown header bricks arranged in Flemish bond, with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical elevation with three bays. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels and includes an overlight, flanked by 16-pane sash windows with sills, all set beneath cambered gauged brick arches. On the first floor, there are two similar sash windows on either side of a blank opening above the door. The house is topped with a dentilled brick eaves cornice and has end stacks, while the raised gables feature tumbled-in brickwork.
