Description
Sele House dates from the late 18th or early 19th century, with extensions added in the mid and late 19th century. It is a two-storey building with a facade of five bays to the east. The house is constructed of brick with raised quoins, lintels, cills, a plinth, and a pier strip to the left of centre. The central three bays feature glazing bar sash windows. A paired doorcase with a hood is positioned centrally, leading to an eight-panel door with rectangular windows above. A two-storey, three-light bay extension was added to the south, featuring late glazing. A more extensive extension to the north incorporates an applied timber facade overlooking the Sele, and includes a conservatory on the second floor, capped by a high gabled roof with a crested ridge. A shallow bow window is located on the north-east corner on the ground floor. The rear of the house is constructed of stone.
