Description

Barnes Railway Bridge is a railway bridge constructed between 1846 and 1849 by Joseph Locke and J E Errington, with an extension added to the downstream side between 1891 and 1895. The bridge features three segmental iron arches that are supported by rusticated stone piers. The section built in 1891-1895 includes three bowstring trusses. The end piers are rusticated and topped with stone, featuring two console brackets and a finial.
